Product Description

RENT INDUSTRIAL TECHOLOGY 209 SPECIAL CIRCUIT TRANSFER SETS (2 -109 UNITS) RENTAL PER MONTH ansfer special circuits without circuit turndowns. The Throwmaster special Circuit Transfer Set Model 109 brings new ease and high efficiency to the troublesome task of transferring special circuits. With the 109, technicians can instantly transfer a special circuit from one cable to another without turning down the circuit and without interrupting service to important customers. All the coordination and time wasted waiting for turndown permission are eliminated. Specials can be transferred during regular hours, the telephone company regains control of job scheduling, and the customer sees only smooth, uninterrupted service. A Complex Task is Made Simple- The 109 automates a transfer into four simple steps -- connect, cut, transfer, splice. By simplifying the transfer process and eliminating the need for circuit turndowns, tremendous productivity gains are realized. Service is Never Interrupted- Throughout the four steps of a transfer, the customer's circuit is continuously maintained and "passed through" the 109 units. The 109's continue to carry the service until the new splice is automatically verified. "Smart" Units Virtually Eliminate Errors- The 109 automatically monitors and tests each step of the transfer. The transfer is simply not allowed to proceed incorrectly. All connections are automatically verified so the circuit cannot be accidentally dropped due to a faulty connection. Clear instructions prompt the operators through each step. If a problem exists, the operator is alerted and given instructions how to correct it. Once the transfer is made to the new pair, the 109's continue to maintain the service until the final splice is verified. It is extremely difficult to make an error using the 109. Simple to Use- For all the productivity the Throwmaster 109 delivers, it is surprisingly easy to use. Simple instructions are displayed which guide the operators through four steps. A 109 is connected at each end of the old section and the new section. The old section is cut away. Transfer to the new section is made. The new splice is made. A talk circuit is also provided to allow the two operators to communicate and coordinate activities.

Benefits

Eliminate circuit interruption to important customers. Eliminate the time waiting for circuit turndowns. Perform field transfers during normal working hours. Applications

The Throwmaster 109 is used for any transfer (or "throw") that must be done without interrupting service. While it is particularly useful for digital circuits, it may also be used to transfer voice grade circuits. Typical applications are:

Cable being rerouted because of road or bridge work. Cable being replaced because of deterioration or damage. Terminal facilities such as cross boxes being replaced or reworked. Central Office work where digital circuits must be re-terminated without interruption, such as relocation of a DSX bay or other Central Office elements. Any other transfer where it is suspected that special circuits may be in operation that will not tolerate bridged tap. NEW HDSL VERSION A new software and hardware version of the 109 is now available that detects and transfers HDSL and ISDN circuits. Older 109 units, earlier than Rev. 9.0, can be updated by returning them to the factory. Call the factory for more details.
