Sidewinder V3 with Honda Engine
Weight 1500 lbs.
The GMP SideWinder Trailer-Mounted Fiber Optic Puller has been designed to exceed the requirements of installing underground telecommunication cables, and high-density fiber by employing a 42 in. diameter single capstan to provide a controlled force to the pulling rope or tape.
The single capstan allows the winch to be placed at the midpoint of a section to assist in the pull, thus enabling longer pulls
The Electric start SideWinder (P/N 70751) has these extras:
An electric key start GX390 Honda engine along with the choke and throttle is located at the operators control panel, safely placing all controls away from the moving pulling line.
Quick disconnect hydraulics allows the operator to utilize the SideWinders output hydraulic output to power a number of options like a hydraulic dewatering pump or a Tornado Fiber Optic Blowing machine.

SideWinder as a power source for the Tornado Blowing Machine: Using accessory part number 32482, the SideWinder has the capability of powering the hydraulic system of the Tornado Blowing Machine thereby eliminating the need to have a separate power pack. Do to the higher rating of the Sidewinder's hydraulic system, the pushing force of the Tornado will be equal to the power pack but the speed will be increased up to 2 1/2 times. This can be regulated via the speed control on the Tornado.Read More
