INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY THROWMASTER 107M (METRIC) REPAIRED For testing and transfer of both metallic and pair gain telephone cable pairs in 25 pair groups. The Throwmaster Cable Test Set Model 107 is a portable, battery powered instrument used by cable splicing technicians as their primary test set. It is well suited for use in the testing and transfer of wire pairs, including those derived from a digital pair gain system. The 107 has all the capabilities of the 105--transfers may be made on metallic, universal pair gain, and integrated pair gain circuits. In addition, the 107 provides for testing and transferring in 25 pair groups. Supplies Talk battery- Using a unique signalling function, talk battery is supplied, and communication established. Handsets or headsets may be used at both ends. Tests Spare Pairs- Utilizing the same functions as a field test board, spare pairs may be tested for shorts, grounds, crosses, opens, and splits. Connection may be made either single pair or twenty five pairs at a time using the proper adapter cable. Test Working Lines- Working lines may be tested for status of idle, busy, reversed, or special voltage. Connection may be made either single pair or twenty five pair at a time with use of the proper adapter cable. Sends simplex 577 Hz tone for pair identification which is silent to subscribers. Tone Buzz Around- Used during pair transfers, the BUZZ feature allows technicians to test old and new pairs simultaneously for defects and continuity, even if those pairs are derived from a pair gain system. Cut Closed (NoBreak) Cable Transfers- Transfer may be made from one pair to another, without interruption of service to the subscriber, even while the subscriber is using the phone.
