The Tag-It Block Consists Of A Base With 45° Angle Bracket And A 12" Support Rod With Nut
Support Rod Can Be Removed And The Base Hand Held To Maximize Use Of Available Conductor Slack
Base Has 4 Rows To Hold Up To Four, 710 Index Strips.
Set-Up The Support Rod Is Attached To The Block By Inserting The Threaded Rod Through The 45' Angled Mounting Bracket And Secured With The Nut Supplied. After The Rod Is Attached, The Tag-It May Be Mounted To The Splicer'S Box Or Any Of The 710 Cutter Presser Support Hardware.
Tagging Up To Four Index Strips Are Placed Between The Numbered Tag-It Guide Posts (1-25, 26-50, 51-75 And 76-100). As Each Pair Is Identified, The Pair Is Placed In The Appropriate Row And Pushed Into The Index Strip Next To The Appropriate Pair Number. The Conductor Ends Are Dressed Down The Row And Under The Tag-It Base Keeping The Working Area Clear. This Allows Tagging Of Up To Four, 25 Pair Groups Which Is Especially Useful On Pulp/Paper Cable. When All 25 Pairs Have Been Placed In The Index Strip Or Module, The Completed Assembly Is Removed And Placed Into A 710 Cutter Presser Assembly Trough For Pressing And Cutting, As Much As 30 Minutes Per 100 Pair Can Be Saved When Tagging Pulp Cable By Working On All Four 25 Pair Groups Simultaneously.
Half-Tapping Index Strips Are Placed In The Holders Of The Tag-It Block. Cable Pairs Are Identified And Placed In The Appropriate Index Strip Slots. Bsm'S From The Mating Cables Are Placed Over The Index Strips, The Index Strip Is Removed From The Tag-It Block And The Two 710 Module Pieces Are Then Pressed Together With A Hand Tool (Jaws Ii) To Complete The Half-Tap Splice.
